Enable windowed mode & add windows
Turn a location into a take-a-number operation and create its numbered windows.
Requires Location Admin
Available on every plan — window count per location scales with your tier (Free 1, Starter 2, Pro 5, Business 15).
Turn it on
- Select Manage windows in the sidebar (Admins only).
- In the Windowed mode card, select Turn on. This switches the location to the take-a-number workflow — your QR code and link stay the same; open tickets are preserved.
Add windows
- On the same page, use Add a window: give it a Label ("Window 1", "Counter B") and optionally a short Code for reference numbers.
- Select + Add window. Repeat for each staffed position.
- Per window you can later Save label/code changes, Disable one (it leaves the board and can't be claimed), or Remove window — any live ticket at a removed window returns to the front of the queue automatically.
What appears when it's on
- A Windows console item in every staff member's sidebar.
- The lobby kiosk link on this page — a locked take-a-number URL for a tablet at your door (it can only issue numbers; no staff access). See Kiosk & now-serving board.
- The Now-serving board link for your waiting-room screen.
Turning it off
Select Turn off in the same card. Note the location stays on the take-a-number workflow until you pick another under Settings → Queue workflow.
